I was looking around on the web for a fictional photo of some young farmers to represent the two youngens I have coming on the show this week. This one struck me after finding only photos of youth either playing rugby (there must be an affiliation between the sport and the future's new agriculturalists) or amassed in large picnic gatherings. Neither of which captured the essence that I was hankering for. So, this one will have to do. I have to say I kind of like it. They don't look terribly busy, let alone like farmers in the slightest but I guess we'll all find out this Friday on the show. I'll be talking with Ajoy Bista from Nepal and Laurel Grieve. They are two of the recipients of this year's Guelph Organic Conference scholarship fund and they will be by to talk about what they're expecting from the conference and hopefully pass on their prospects for the future. Also, I'll try to fit in a trip into the pantry to look at some exciting ingredient and also pass on a recipe for the week. So, tune in or be caned!
