The Last Show

Well, it has come. This Friday will my last kick at the mic. It's a little sad but also exciting because having my last show means that I will be heading out west soon to cook in the mountains. I will be running a kitchen out at Lake O'Hara Lodge in Yoho National Park for the summer, returning in late August to become a culinary arts high school teacher. I will be living in the Hammer for all of next year, learning the ropes from the folk out at Brock University (Hamilton campus). Should be a great time.

Alas, as it is the last show, I will have a few special guests on to commemorate the passing on of this most excellent experience. The plan is to apply for a show out at MacMaster in the fall to do more of the same. I've been out to the farmer's market out there and it is formidable! There should be no shortage of interesting folk to yack with. Actually, the call number for the station in Hamilton is the same as it is here in Guelph, so you could technically start listening to Guelph's 93.3 and merge into the Hammers!

Anyway, hope you can tune in. I will be giving away one of the Food in your Face music compilation cds that I have been compiling throughout the last year of programming. They are also available by sponsoring the radio station which is done by emailing me at foodinyourface@gmail.com.

So, the last show, talk about pressure cookers, perhaps some improv spring foraging, I know there will be a spirited introduction and lots of great music. Hope you can tune in!

Oh, and below are details for the party Friday night the show is hosting. It is going to be a most excellent time!
