Ignatius farm, Wal-mart, and me. . .

This week I will be walking down this very road with Ignatius Farm's CSA director, Heather Lekx. We'll be talking about what CSA's are, the future of farming and I'll be giving out the most recent information on the disputes this land is embroiled within against the world's largest retailer--Wal-mart. I can't even imagine the throngs of people that are for this proposal not being disturbed by the idea of having a sweatshop laboured mega-corporation setting up shop along Ignatius' fence line. It's a fun interview though, despite the grimness of corporate greed, one that gets interupted/added to by a farmer from Greenfield's farm who just happens to be riding his bike along the very road Heather and I are walking down.

Also, I'll be talking about my CD compilation of food and food related music on this week's show. You can be involved if you have ideas of selections that should be included. The proceeds from its sales will go to CFRU 93.3 FM and the great programming that happens there. So, drop me a line if you have ideas.
